Why There are No Birds at Your Feeders Right Now (September 2023).

If you think it’s slow at your feeders right now, you are not alone. We are being swamped with reports and concerns here at Freeport Wild Bird Supply of “no birds,” “slow,” “they all disappeared” etc. In fact, they are so frequent – and causing so much consternation –so Derek decided to write this blog to help further explain the observations (or lack there of).

Feeder Birds This Week: 7/12

Our first Monarch caterpillar was on the milkweed on 7/8. 22 species visited the feeding station this week. Rock Pigeon: 28 House Finch: 10 Red-winged Blackbird: 10 House Sparrow: 6 American Goldfinch

NO BIRDWALK, 7/13

There will not be a birdwalk on Saturday, July 13th. We'll see you on the 20th!
