Paying It Forward! - June

We have been so honored by your continued support in these trying times. Thank you for feeding your birds, for shopping small, and when you do - taking the proper precautions to keep everyone safe.

For June’s Community Support donation, we will be sending our monthly $500 to Freeport Conservation Trust (FCT) towards their “Marsh View” project. FCT, Royal River Conservation Trust (RRCT), and Maine Coast Heritage Trust are collaborating to acquire two parcels of land (one in Yarmouth, one in Freeport) to conserve habitat in the Cousins River salt marsh. At the Freeport parcel, called “Marsh View”, FCT is raising money to build two trails to overlooks from a small parking area, ideal for birding and marsh observation. They still need $6000 to reach their fundraising goal. More information is here on how you can help:

Additionally, both FCT (https://freeportconservationtrust.org/) and RRCT (https://rrct.org/) are working on a number of trail projects and can use support and volunteering for that too. With the additional traffic many trails received this spring as more people sought respite outdoors, especially close to home, there are a lot of trails and preserves that can use your help.

Here at Freeport Wild Bird Supply, we care about our community as much as our birds! And we are immensely grateful for the support our community continues to give us. In fact, we plan on continuing this direct community support in May and beyond. And once again: THANK YOU! Thank you so very much. We'll get through this, together.
