Derek Lovitch, of Freeport Wild Bird Supply, guides extensively in Maine, and has led tours throughout North America from Alaska's Pribilof Islands to Hawai’i. He also worked as a Senior Leader for WINGS Birding, Inc. for over a decade, but now guides exclusively in Northern New England.

 

Up to date information, local expertise (including great local food!), and good company and conversation await. We can cater to a group of any size, from 1 to 100. Flexible, fun, educational, and rewarding!

Custom tours are available for birders of all ages and skills. From a few hours of one-on-one bird identification lessons to overnight camping trips, we will cater to you and the birds you want to see:

• Rates: 
- Hourly: $75
- Half-day (4-5 hours): $225 for 1-3 people; $40/each additional person
- Full-day (8-9 hours): $400 for 1-3 people; $50/each additional person

Above rates include: Mileage, fuel, tolls, State Park entry fees, Derek's lunch, and all guiding services. 
Does not include: shared dinners, lodging, additional vehicle rental, parking fees, boat fees, etc. if necessary.
