Supporting the Community that is Supporting Us.

We have been so honored by your continued support in these trying times. Thank you for feeding your birds, for shopping small, and when you do - taking the proper precautions to keep everyone safe.

We know we are among the lucky ones and the circumstances of so many others are much more challenging right now. So we decided it was time to pay it forward. After discussions with Freeport Community Services, we learned that their biggest need right now is with stocking their Food Pantry. They are in need of important supplies including: toilet paper, peanut butter & jelly, dried beans, diced/stewed tomatoes, pasta, shelf-stable milk, and pet food.

We obviously don't carry any of this in our store, so we sent the food pantry a check for $500 last week.

But that can only go so far, so in conjunction, we hope to raise more awareness about the needs of those less fortunate right now. And I am sure the list is similar at your local food pantry as well. Can you help out, too? No amount is too small, and if it's more convenient for you, if you drop off any of the items on their list at our store, we'll bring it on over to them for you. Here at Freeport Wild Bird Supply, we care about our community as much as our birds! And we are immensely grateful for the support our community continues to give us. In fact, we plan on continuing this direct community support in May and beyond.

And once again: THANK YOU! Thank you so very much. We'll get through this, together.
